Powershell, search into the command history

It can sometimes happen to write some command on the shell and needing it weeks or months afterwards.

The shortcut

First, open PowerShell

Second, press CTRL+R

Third, type what you remember, eg. “Git”

If that is the right command then, end.

Otherwise, keep pressing CTRL+R until you won’t find it

Summary

Using CTRL+R on PowerShell is very useful and it will save the hassle of moving through the entire shell history.
